Redness, bruising, swelling, allergic reaction, temporary drooping of eyelids or eyebrows are all be possible complications after forehead injections. Treating hyperhidrosis with botulinum toxin (excessive sweating):

Botox for Sweating injections can also be used to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) also known as Botox for the Underarms. We do so by injecting Botox and other forms of toxin into the affected area, such as underarms, this prevents the glands producing sweat. It has been shown it can reduce sweating by up to 90% and the results generally last between six and nine months.

Treating depression with botulinum toxin:

There are ongoing studies for the use of Botulinum Toxin A and the treatment of depressions. While this is still at the early stage of clinical studies, it could prove to be a vital treatment for depression. There was an interesting article in the BBC news on the subject, which found that the treatment of depression could be targeted by injecting botulinum toxin in different areas of the face. Interestingly it also found that certain areas such as around the crows feet can increase the incidence of depression due to the muscle restriction on smiling.
