Food Intolerance Testing
Did you know that the food you’re eating can show on your skin?
At Facial Aesthetics we treat the whole skin, both inside and out, as part of that we utilise food intolerance testing.
Call NOW for your Customised Free Skin Consultation for Skin Wellness at our Essex Clinic or to go straight ahead and book a food intolerance test.
At Facial Aesthetics we are committed to providing bespoke, full-service results and approaching skin care holistically. We know that skin health can be affected by the foods, vitamins and minerals one eats and for this reason we are proud to offer food intolerance testing with Laura Mounteney.
Laura conducts electrodermal food intolerance testing in our Essex allergy testing clinic. This is a painless method that delivers immediate results. Along with the test, you’ll receive tailored advice as to how you may apply your results to your everyday life and diet.
Food intolerance and gut health is not only tied to skin health – improving your gut health can often help to ease a range of problems such as fatigue, stomach pain, and even weight gain. If you’re not feeling 100% or if you have a skin concern that you think might be linked to the foods you eat, this testing may provide some long-sought answers.

Frequently Asked Questions
Below are selected FAQs about our Food Intolerance Testing Essex Clinic:
Does the test hurt or involve taking blood?
Nope! Electrodermal testing is much easier than taking blood and still gives you instant results. It requires very little effort from you – you will hold part of the machine in one hand and Laura will use an electrodermal pen on a fingertip of your other hand. Don’t worry, it doesn’t leave any marks and doesn’t cause any pain.
What foods does it test intolerance to?
Laura tests for over 100 commonly encountered food substances, from gluten to lactose to different fruits and vegetables. She also tests for common irritants such as mould and cigarette smoke. Lastly, she will test to see if you are deficient in any vital vitamins or minerals.
How much does it cost and how long will the test take?
A 1 hour session with Laura costs £85 and includes the test for over 100 substances, vitamins and minerals, followed by personalised advice for how to apply your test results to your diet and lifestyle should you wish to. You also get a booklet with your results and pages of useful information to take home with you.
